I’ve had this soup several times, and it really is that tasty and delicious. Very satisfying. It’s an original family recipe from Ayoma’s mother in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan food departs from Indian food in other ways, but especially as it is a coconut-based cuisine, not yogurt-based like Indian. This vegetable soup recipe has no oil in it whatsoever.
